Morning
Garden is for three- and four-year-olds who are ready to
explore and socialize independently of their parents in a safe and
homelike atmosphere. The Morning Garden program meets from 9:00
a.m. until 1:00 p.m.(extended care
is also available) and follows the same calendar as the Kindergarten.
Two, Three and Five-Day programs are available.
The 3 to 4 year old child is nourished in an environment which
provides appropriate experiential and sensorial opportunities through
creative play, nature exploration, gardening, stories, puppetry,
artistic expression, music and singing. Movement and music, participation
in snack preparation, and playthings from a variety of natural materials
stimulate the senses and encourage healthy physical development.
Special care is given to selection of healthy, nutritious, whole-foods
snacks.
Teachers and children participate in such activities as:
- Creative Free Play
- Watercolor Painting
- Storytelling
- Puppet Shows
- Singing
- Outdoor Play
- Breadbaking and healthy snack preparation
Requirements
Children applying for fall admission to this program should have
