9th Annual Arts & Entertainment Auction

What an affair we had this year!! The donations of art & entertainment, beautiful handwork, incredible trips, our children's art, classroom projects and much more combined with food, music and festivities made for a great night. Your generous bidding helped us exceed our goals for this year and even doubled last year's auction!!! Thank you friends and families for helping us raise almost $19,000 in support of Shining Rivers School.

August 12 officially proclaimed"Shining Rivers Day"!

Mayor Gerry Welch made a formal proclamation at Shining Rivers School, 912 Bell and 915 N. Elm Avenues in North Webster Groves, on Saturday, August 12. The event celebrated the school's one-year anniversary at this new location. Tours and teacher-led activities were available for interested families and educators, with activities for adults and children. The activities highlighted the unique aspects of the school's Waldorf curriculum, with physical, handicraft and fine arts treated as natural partners in educating the whole child; hands, heart and head. Tours included the garden and naturalistic "meadow" play area, made available by Congressional candidate Charles Karam. In addition to the unique curriculum and facilities, Shining Rivers School is the only independent school in the St. Louis area with sliding-scale tuition.
