Shining Rivers is a developing school member of the Association for Waldorf Schools of North America. As we grow and work toward our vision of a fully realized Waldorf school (pre-K through 8th grade), we rely on the contributions of our parents and larger community.
The next five years...
Each year Shining Rivers strives to continue its lead class to add the next grade to the school. Provided that our enrollment supports this growth, we will celebrate our next graduating class in May 2015.
Developing the upper grades will bring new challenges and opportunities to Shining Rivers. We are excited to see the class performances and projects, Pentathlon and class trips, and main lesson books filled with deepening knowledge. Adding a new classroom each year will stretch the limits of our current campus. Housing a full elementary school will mean expanding to a campus that can hold the unique needs of a Waldorf school, namely plenty of natural green space and suitable classrooms.
Do you have any ideas for the future development of the Shining Rivers campus? Each school has its own unique story - a central feature of which is typically the generosity of a donor passionate about the development of quality education.
